Power Query is a tool that allows you to extract and important data into Excel for further analysis. For example, websites, CRM, accounting software, databases to name just a few.
Microsoft Power Pivot is a tool to build relationships between database tables. Doing so enables us to ask powerful questions of our data. To clarify our objective for Power Pivot. We are appending merging, combining tables into a data model but I should emphasis our tables remain separate. The key learning point here is we are building relationships to allow us, to interrogate our, data.
Like Power Query and Power Pivot, Power View is another Excel self-service tool. Like Power Pivot we can build tables, charts, maps in Power View. However, Power View takes it a step further by allowing us to create remarkably integrated and multifaceted reports.
MS Power BI gives us the ability to share power query and power view data with others who may be members of the team or with members who work with different teams.
A pivot table is a data visualisation tool to summarise data. Users can control pivot table and or chart data by dragging and dropping fields graphically.
